TrueScan — Terms of Service

This page is the same document the app shows under Settings → Terms of Service. It covers the app itself, your content, the optional Remove Ads subscription and how disputes are handled.
1. The service
TrueScan is a document-scanning and PDF utility for Android. Scanning, text recognition, conversion and PDF editing run on your device. The app is provided as-is, on an "as available" basis, without warranty of any kind.
2. Your content
Your scans, PDFs, images and settings stay on your device. You keep all rights to the documents you create with the app. TrueScan never claims ownership of your content.
3. Accounts
Signing in is optional. Every feature works without an account. If you sign in with Google, Firebase Authentication stores your account identifier so that a paid subscription can be tied to you. You can delete your account from Settings.
4. The Remove Ads subscription
TrueScan is free. An optional auto-renewing subscription removes the advertising banner. Payment is handled entirely by Google Play; we never receive or store your card details. Prices, billing periods and any trial or introductory offer are shown in the app before you buy.
5. Renewals, cancellation and refunds
The subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel it. To cancel: Google Play Store → Payments & subscriptions → TrueScan → Cancel. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and the app stays ad-free until then. Refunds are handled by Google Play under the Google Play refund policy; contact us and we will help.
6. Advertising
The free version is supported by ads served by Google AdMob. We do not control the ads or the content they may contain, and we do not receive personal information from Google about you. See the Privacy Policy for the data that ad serving involves.
7. Acceptable use
Do not use TrueScan to break the law, to infringe anyone's rights, or to distribute malware. We may remove access if you misuse the service.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of TrueScan, including lost data or lost profit.

10. Changes
We may update these terms. The "Last updated" date above is the current version. Continuing to use TrueScan after a change means you accept the updated terms.
